Marco's Poem: Jr. Farmer is honored

I am very proud to announce that one of my Junior Farmers Marc Anthony Cubero was selected for his beautiful vision to share the poem he wrote about our city to Mayor Dana Redd.

here is Marco's poem:

This City

This city, our city.

Poverty, drugs and so much pressure to everyone. So many choices to who we want to be. But us as a school, as a city to show those who look down at us. To show them who we really are! This city is our city; let's take part to show and tell everyone that our kids, our schools and workers are more than what they think we are. Let's tell them we are a city of so much power, so much knowledge, so much more than what they think we are. Let's tell them we are a city of so much power, so much knowledge, so much love!

We have a hard day coming, if we can't help out as a city. Come Rise with us! This city is our city!
